Andudu leading Sudan peace efforts from Denver

He recently marched along side American movie star George Clooney at the Sudanese embassy in Washington D.C.  He is the episcopal bishop of the diocese of Kudugli, capital of South Kordofan or Nuba Mountain State in Sudan.

While the Rt. Rev. Andudu Adam Elnail may not have seen a movie by George Clooney, as he readily admits, he is a leading spokesperson for the people of the Nuba Mountains.

Andudu is now in Denver and working to bring peace to Sudan after he could not return home because he was on a list of wanted people by Sudanese government officials.…

In the world of fast-paced twenty-four-hour news, to craft a powerful news headline means the headline should stand out and draw readers’ attention amid a plethora of stories from all directions.

It’s a theory that applies to print and television news–when powerful headline news, embodied in sudden peace agreements, rebel surrenders, mayhem and conflict, easily lead to wins in the ratings battle.

For Africa, a continent often portrayed in negative terms, with headlines bordering on poverty, war and disease, progress in the democratic and development processes, don’t help with ridding the continent of thoughts about underdevelopment.…
