Come “hack” a solution to one of these challenges:

  • Starfish: Creating Participant-Centered Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Africa Agenda: Promoting a Holistic View of the Continent
  • The Women’s Bakery: Elevating Entrepreneurship in East Africa

We’re looking for individuals with skills in tech, entrepreneurship, education, and much more.

There will be funding for the winning solution, and prizes for teams!

Co-Founder of the Women’s Bakery, Julie Greene, demonstrates the baking process for bread to a group of women in Rwanda.

People always have questions and concerns. For example, when it involves the African nation of Rwanda, I hear things like, “Oh. Rwanda…Isn’t there still a war there? Another person stated, “I saw in the film ‘Hotel Rwanda’ that chaos had completely ruled the city….how can you be safe there?”

Its been four years since my first visit to the country and I can’t help but think, “How in the world am I still fielding questions like these?”

The reality of misconception about the country is both simple and also extraordinarily complicated.…
